Our School

Behaviour

North Manchester High School for Boys believes that all pupils have a right to learn in calm and orderly environment.

Our rules are simple and clear. They are displayed in every classroom. Form tutors will ensure that all pupils new to the school become familiar with our rules.

We want all pupils to feel safe in school. Some pupils feel worried when they start a new school, particularly because of stories they have been told. New pupils are helped to settle down by their Form Tutor. They often worry about bullying. North Manchester deplores bullying in any shape or form. Bullying, unfortunately does occur, as it does both inside and outside virtually every school in the country. We will do everything we can to support all children and the school’s policy to prevent bullying is put into practice for the benefit of all. We will deal firmly and sensitively with all incidents of bullying and encourage an atmosphere in which all boys feel able to tell if they are unhappy. We can only deal with situations we know about.
